The KH41 is transported by helicopter in 2 - 4 loads and by the Short Skyvan in 1 load. It is used for trenching, test pits, reclamation and minor trail building. Typically it is disassembled, flown to a landing pad and assembled. Starting from the pad, work is completed and reclaimed following mapping and sampling.

If conditions allow, the excavator can walk or build a trail for access between sites, otherwise the default method is by helicopter. For work in the mountains the ideal helicopter is the Bell 407, available from Heli Dynamics in Whitehorse, Yukon.

Fuel consumption is 10 - 15 litres per day. The time to assemble or disassemble is 4 -5 hours. Equipped with a rock bucket, oversize blade and cab covers for weather. The maximum digging depth is 2.2 metres.

The excavator is ideal for low impact work with access by road, trail or airstrip. Trenching, test pits, reclamation, trail building and airstrip maintenance are the main applications. The machine weight and balance is very good for ATV trail building.

Air transport is by fixed wing in the Short Skyvan. The machine is equipped with a rock bucket, cleanup bucket, oversize U blade, manual thumb and heavy duty tracks. Fuel consumption is 15 - 20 litres per day. The maximum digging depth is 2.4 metres.

The excavator is equipped with a rock bucket, smooth bucket, angle blade with float and thumb. The main applications are trenching, test pits, reclamation and trail building. Road, trail or barge access is required. Fuel consumption averages 30 - 35 litres per day. The maximum digging depth is 3.5 metres.
